Coastal Shipping
India has a vast 5,560 km coastline with 11 major ports and 168 minor ports. The Government of India has launched the ambitious ‘Sagarmala’ program to harness the untapped potential of this coastline for domestic cargo movement. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce the burden on road networks and lower the carbon footprint.
To leverage this evolving domestic multimodal transportation environment, Novara has established a Domestic Multimodal Division. Building on our global expertise in cargo movement for small and large shippers, we are now applying this knowledge to domestic multimodal transport through coastal shipping, benefiting Indian industries.
With a dedicated team managing the Coastal Shipping division, we offer cost-effective solutions to corporates, reducing transportation costs for raw materials and enabling greater production economy for local industries.
Novara’s offices along the Indian coastline allow us to deliver personalized and seamless domestic multimodal transportation services using coastal shipping. Our pan-India presence and single point of contact for multimodal movements by waterways, road, and rail make us a trusted logistics partner.
We actively handle bulk movement of polymers, cement and cement products, ceramic tiles, spices, rubber, carbon black for tyre industries, timber, industrial raw materials, solar panels, and other finished and semi-finished industrial goods.
